Since the beginning of 2012 there has been nothing, but push back, and scrapping projects for Soulja. But, one thing that has been constant with him is making beats. Mid-2011 Soulja came out of hiding, and started showing his work. And, the response from it has been great.

Soulja says "I would have never expected the feedback I've been getting from making beats, its almost like some people would rather me make beats more than rap. But, its been something I've been doing for a while, but mainly focused on my music as a artist, and not a producer. Since I've gotten alot of good feedback about it, I've been making more, and more beats, and writing less music. I guess it was something inside of me saying this isn't no more a play thing, its time to really do something with it."

He continues to say "Its really been people on Youtube, and networking with me on Facebook that kept me wanting to become more serious, what I was doing for fun made some people want to hit me up for the track to record on them. Although its a honor to have someone wanting to do something to one of my creations. Some of my own doubt gets to me, and I decline their offer. Its no disrespect, but I have like a OCD for when I'm creating something. I want it to be as close to perfection as I can make it, and my skills are limited right now, but I'm trying to get better."

Soulja also went on to say that he is deciding to record actual songs to some of his beats, and pass some off to Cash for his new albums, and maybe drop a mixtape with the artist who hit him up about it. For now its just planning, and waiting on something to arise from Soulja. Let's hope none of these projects get scrapped as the previous ones. Check out Soulja on Youtube for some of his beats, and stay tune for more updates.

It seems as Soulja did have alot built up for his "Relevance" mixtape, that the people will have to get separate now because Soulja scrapped the project. But, it's kind of awesome to hear this freestyle from Soulja. He says "I was in the lab one night, going across instrumentals, and I heard this Eminem instrumental I had. And, all I could do was go in the booth, and lay something down to it."

After listening to the track, you can hear alot of rough cuts in flow from Soulja, but the way it bounces around on the track, it syncs up real nice. And, its really been a while since Soulja really got on a track, and attacked it as he done this one. Even on that topic he says "Lately, I been going at tracks with the same approach I did with Mildley Woods, and that was a simple flow that was easy on the beat. It wasn't really me from way back when that when I got on a beat. I attacked it full force, and go all out on it. Even with this track, although it was a freestyle, I played it back so much. I remembered my own verse, so later that night I went back, and adlib it."

For an artist with a large palette it is sometime hard to maintain all the skills. For Soulja he has done well over the coming years at maintaining, and upping his skills each release. But, due to so many set backs Soulja was sad to announce that "Relevance" may not be dropping, and a set back on the awaited YBG mixtape.

He says "As of late there has been alot causing setbacks on projects I'm working on. At first I thought it was only a minor setback for me, but its becoming more of a problem for myself. I usually deal, and adapt with problems, and handle them accordingly, but this time to solution is out of my hands." Soulja goes on to say "I really want to complete "Relevance" and have it out while finishing the YBG mixtape, then set out to work on my album, but as of now it looks like that maybe out of distance for me."

Although Soulja was filled with disappointed me, he did say what tracks that was complete for "Relevance" will drop in time. He will scrap the project, put the songs out, and start new once he is back up, and running. But, with him not being able to record doesn't stop him from working on music. Soulja also added in "I'm constantly working on new material, always writing, and always making beats. So, once I'm back, I'm going to be back for a while, and on a roll.
