Soulja spoke about the mixtape, and its success since its released saying "It was more than I expected to come from a mixtape that had been push back so many times. But, people waited for it, and my only hope is that we delivered what they expected."
The mixtape went live on June 4 2014. And jumped in the Top 8 spot on DatPiff. Before, and after the release of the mixtape Soulja dropped 2 songs that didn't make the final tracklisting. Which made some wonder how many songs was recorded for the mixtape, and how many still are sitting around collecting dust? Soulja answered that question with ease recently on Twitter. He says "There was over 60 songs recorded for the "Blood Brothers" mixtapes between CA$H and myself. Some was fully recorded songs. Some only had a verse laid down from one of us waiting on the other to complete it. But, you can do the math."
He continues by saying "Here is the equation.. The official mixtape had 16 tracks, the prequel mixtape had 8 tracks, then I dropped 2 tracks that didn't make the final tracklisting. You tell me how many tracks we still have sitting out of 60."
If you do the math that means there are roughly about 34 unreleased songs from Soulja Corleone and CA$H created for the "Blood Brothers" project. CA$H spoke on the recordings by saying "We never have a determined number of songs we aim for when starting a project. We just send each other music, and record. When the dust settles we go through what we made, pick what we like, and put it out."
He contined by saying "I've only used one or two songs out of all the songs Soulja and I have made for my upcoming "The Roamers" mixtape. And, I'm sure we won't even use any of the leftovers if we do a sequel project."
And, Soulja backed up CA$H's statement by saying "I totally agree. If CA$H and I do a sequel mixtape, its going to be all brand new music. Nothing left over from the last one."
