Soulja Corleone is no stranger to speaking his views within his music. So, when he released this new "Black American" verse. It was no doubt about it. He was going to talk about his views on the topic of being black in American. With the idea of the Ferguson killing, and protest of Micheal Brown.

Soulja spoke briefly before releasing the track saying "This is only my point of view, and to some it doesn't apply to. I don't want people to feel as if I'm attacking them with the words I chose use in this song. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is mines."

After getting a brief listen of the song you can tell that Soulja felt strongly about what he was speaking on in his verse. Using news clips from the story of Micheal Brown throughout the song itself.

Soulja spoke after releasing the song saying "Its hard being black in America. That at some points we're treated as if we are not, and do not have the rights as any other American. I wanted to express those views from my eyes through this song. I grew up in the south. The mecca of racism, and no matter what people say at the end of the day. What happened to Trayvon Martian, and Micheal Brown was a act of racial profiling. I believe the people that are protesting right now are doing the right thing. Doing what our civil leaders did before us. And, all though the times are different somethings never change. The only thing that differs us from them. Is we're alot more angry, and we must learn to control that anger, and turn them into words. So, that the people may hear us clearly, and hopefully understand where we are coming from."
